The Design Process

A successful design requires a collaboration between client and designer. Many times clients are unsure of what their design style is, and it is up to the designer to guide the client toward a design aesthetic that suits their lifestyle.

Whether that design is traditional or contemporary (or a blending of the two), or is influenced by Mid-Century modern, Asian, Italian or Spanish design, the most important element is cohesiveness of the design space. Color, texture and lighting are also important elements of design, since color, texture and lighting can affect the mood of your space.

With Carol Emmons Interiors, following an initial consultation when the scope of the project is determined, a budget will be prepared and presented for approval prior to any work being commenced. At this time, you will be able to alter the plan depending upon your budgetary requirements.  If your budget is tight, no worries!  A good design firm (like us) will always be able to tell you where to spend your money without sacraficing the overall design.   Further, trade discounts for furniture and fabrics are always passed on to our clients, so you will never pay retail for any these products.

Design Services

Great design begins with the perfect space plan, which is the blueprint to complete your home. Without an appropriate space plan, too many costly errors can be made. The space plan will not only provide you with the best design layout for each room, but will also provide information on the size and type of furniture pieces needed. Never go shopping for furniture without first having your designer prepare a functional space plan.

Let Carol and her team help you to make your home into a comfortable and functional, yet beautiful and stylish, environment that reflects your own personal style.
